de Paris' (Lafarge Group)
- 1977-1994: Head of Service, Director, then Director General
(from 1988) of the CEFS, the European Sugar Manufacturers
Association
- 1994-1996: Secretary-General of COPA-COGECA, which represents
in Brussels the European farmers' unions
- 1997-present: Founder and CEO of CLAN Public Affairs, a
company specialized in consultancy in European affairs, and
today one of the main EU consultancies in Brussels

Robin Pedler

Robin Pedler is an Associate Fellow of Templeton, the college
of Oxford University that specialises in Management Studies.
He is Director of ETI, Brussels.
He studied at the Sorbonne and the University of Cambridge,
graduating with first class honours. His research and writing
interests includes: public affairs, EU process & politics
and trade policy.
He had a varied career in international management, culminating
as Director, External Relations Europe, with Mars. In 1991 he
returned to academic life.
He now works with both industrial managers and civil servants.
He has conducted ‘EU Presidency ‘ training with
Belgium, Finland, Sweden and UK. He is a consultant on international
trade issues.
He speaks fluently, lectures and conducts business in English,
French and Spanish and also speaks Dutch and German
